(This one requires the vacuum reel to be installed deeper into the van, than would otherwise be necessary. But leaves the floor underneath the vacuum reel free and accessible.)
He chose parts of two of the recommendations we mentioned: Vacuum reel hung from the ceiling and 2 supply reels positioned vertically on a stand, behind the passenger- side rear wheel well.

Boom Package for a Dodge RAM ProMaster High- Roof Van
Customers and potential customers often call, specifically because they have a high- roof Ford Transit or Dodge RAM ProMaster. And they want to maximize available cargo space.
Once we know what ceiling height van they have, we ask about the capacity- in length of hose to be carried- that they want. The decision at that point is a choice between the 3 capacities of Boom Packages: 300 ft. 450 ft. and 600 ft.
The 300 ft. “BOOM300” is the one that most people choose, because most carpet cleaning jobs are reachable with 300 feet of hose- and the floor space width required from the van’s wheel well is only 14”.

In- Line 250 Package for a Low Roof Ford Transit Van
This wasn’t the customer’s first van, so he was more aware than most of the need for hose reels to make the best use of space. He had everything planned from the start.
The solution was pretty simple for this one, because In-Line hose reel packages have the narrowest footprint width of any hose reel package, for low- roof cargo vans.
His was an In-Line 250.

Ceiling- Mounted Vacuum Reel for a Mid-Roof Ford Transit Van
This one was unusual. The customer set up a flood remediation truck. It was a Ford Transit Mid- Roof. He needed 450 feet of vacuum hose and wanted the most access to floor space he could get.
His van had a ceiling height that allowed for our Xtra- tall vacuum reels, so we recommended that he hang one of our Xtra-Tall VRX450E vacuum reels at the ceiling. (This allows the reel to be positioned over the wheel well about 3”, which reduces the effective footprint width by 3” there.) on the wall- side and since the reel’s A-Frame was upside down, it didn’t take up floor space on the side nearest the center of the van. The result was that the foot print was only 19” from the wheel well. And- it would left the space under the reel, completely accessible.
